Day Two. Or as my husband refers to it as: INTENSE

As I type this, my husband is shining his boots. When he left this morning, the toe of his boots were super shiny. I could actually see myself in them!! He had worked really hard on them. When he returned today, all I could see was the faint resemblance of a line where the shiny toe was separated from the rest of the boot. Scuff marks, dirt and (I am sure) sweat covered the rest. Poor kid.

Along with all this extra "work" at home, he had quite the day.  The first day was in the classroom getting lectured on drug usage, history of TPD, hearing stories from past Chiefs om what it was like back in the day..etc.

This day was different. Much different.

My alarm went off at 0345 this morning (yes, military time, folks...get used to that). If any of you know my husband, he has never been alive that time, unless he never went to sleep in the first place. After a kiss goodbye while wearing his pinstripe suit at 0500, I wouldn't see or talk to him until 1700.

The rest was a blur about the academy. In a great sum, he said it was INTENSE. It seemed almost like he did a mini 'academy' in one day!!

Pushups in his suit, getting yelled at, more pushups, 5 minutes to (find your locker, unpack your bag, get out of your suit, change into PT gear), pushups, pushups, running 1/2 mile in the dark with a helicopter hovering what seems like 2 feet above you shining it's light on your head, pushups, abs, pushups, quizzing of spanish phrases, 100 blocks, 10-codes, pushups, running, sprinting, karaoke (the running kind, people...), pushups, lunch, learning to march, classroom on notetaking, running, pushups, yoga, yoga, ouch yoga, pushups.

All of that while getting yelled at and being told that people die every day doing this job.

Not for me, but I am so proud of my husband and what he is doing. He is one of the most noble and respectable men I have ever had the pleasure to be around! I am such a lucky wife! Now on to cleaning...downfall to this stressful day :o)
