The Bible
There is a Police Officer's Bible.
I haven't had the chance to purchase it for Wes, but I know it is something he would love to have and take with him in his car.
I did have the opportunity to look through it this weekend (thank you, Mr. Robison...you have been such a great conversation for Wes!). It is a version I am not familiar with (HCSB), but it has amazing prayers, and information in the back of it. It also has a devotional section.
I know that Wes is in need of a Christian connection at his work right now. He listens to his bible while running on the treadmill at the gym - but I feel that he isn't getting filled. I cannot wait for him to find that link within the force. I know it is there - I have heard about groups and so forth. He can get an 'official' cross to wear on his uniform as well.
I guess I am thinking about all of this because we have plans to go see 'Courageous' this evening. It is such an amazing story, and we loved Facing the Giants and Fireproof. I know he will be courageous in anything he does.
