Dawn Soap in your EYE.

This past week I was privileged enough to go to Atlanta, Georgia for the Orange Conference.  What a BLESSING it was for me. It was the BEST worship I have ever been to on top of all the amazing information I got from the conference. Changed my life.

While I was gone, Wes had to stay here and continue on with the Academy.  This was BY FAR the worst week ever.

On Tuesday, he was sprayed with OC Spray (extreme pepper spray). He was shot in the face with it (close distance), then he had to go through a scenario and eventually then he could go wash off.

To wash it off, he had to rinse with water and Dawn Soap. He was literally pouring it INTO his eye! He said it felt better doing that then having that stuff on his face. Poor kid.  He also poured milk on his face, rinsed with cold water...but nothing helped. He just had to handle it!!

Swollen, dawn soap running down his face...extreme pain!!
He was also standing in front of fans for some minor relief.

Trying to feel better...
Then finally, he was able to breath and stop from sitting in front of a fan, trying to make his face, even for one moment, feel a little better.  He was running from fan, to water, to milk, to fan and finally just sitting down and trying to deal with the constant pain. He told me at one point, it hurt too bad to sit in front of the fan (drying out eyes, throat) and it hurt too bad to be without the fan that he didn't know what to do.

He definitely classified this as the worst day of his life. He claimed if felt like gasoline was being poured on his face and then lit on fire. What a horrible feeling!!

I feel horrible that I wasn't there to give him a little comfort after it happened. After about 45 minutes of trying to re-habilitate himself, he sent me this picture:

Swollen face and lips. He said this was the first time he was able to open his eyes without using his hands.
Luckily he never has to do that again.
