It's Finally Turning Cold
This past month has been a whirlwind.
Even though the Holiday Season is my favorite time of the year, I seem to get the most stressed out as well. I know I am not the only one that feels this way - but man...when I was a 'kid' it was AWESOME. Sleep in...no responsibilities...Dad took me to buy the presents for everyone and my money was kept in HIS wallet!! (Let's be honest...when I go home, I still keep it in there).
But still - December is such a long month. We have about seven birthdays to consider (including both of ours), anniversaries, and of course...Christmas.
This all comes with presents, cards, Christmas Cards, wrapping, bubble wrap, tape. I am pretty sure we spent about $160 on SHIPPING ALONE. I stood there scooting five boxes that were as stacked up as tall as I am in the line on a rainy afternoon in the post office thinking: "This is why I need to move somewhere closer to family". I always somewhat snap out of that though when I remember how I can't take my church family with me. :o)
December is just crazy.
Then we get into January - No, middle of January, isn't it? And yes, folks...Christmas is still alive and well in our apartment. It is a goal for this weekend -- We'll see how that goes. Some part of me doesn't want to take it down because I won't see it for another 10 months.
As of now, it has finally turned cold. We were practically in shorts during December, early January was warm as well...and my drive to work today was a cool 23 degrees. I know this is no 'freezing'...but my nose froze up a bit there for a while! We even got some snow!! Miracles!
Well that is all for now - too busy and I want to read my book during my break!
