$$$$$$
We are very blessed in the fact that Wes is now making a significant amount more than he used to working at the bank.
And while we can pay off more debt at this rate, I still find that a significant amount of money is being designated towards supplies for the Police Academy.
Now - I understand completely. I do. Being a teacher, I realize the need for supplies...especially when you are not given any funds to get them by your company. Lord knows I have bought so many things over the past year or two for classrooms and myself to better the students experience. The supplies for the academy, though, are a wee bit different than pens, pencils, boarders, posters and hand sanitizer.
We're talking endless supplies of square pieces of cloth to be pushed down the barrel of his shotgun and pistol, bottles of different solvents and solutions to spray down and foam up the barrels for 'superior shine' and of course, the never-ending supply of the actual long tool that thrusts these components down the barrel. I believe Wes has broken five of them to date by pushing to hard to make these metal rods snap in half. Good times.

| I believe we are on number 6 of this set. |
Watching this all take place on the special mat he has bought to set all of his potions and lotions on is actually quite amusing. I, of course, had to laugh yesterday when we got a package in the mail and it was three 'Shotgun Jags' that he had to purchase for cleaning his gun. They apparently "touch all sides of the barrel so the cloth can get every inch of the inside clean!!!!!!". So exciting!!! And we have three!!!!! Why!? Oh - because the company wouldn't ship for less than $20. Happy Birthday to whomever Wes decides to give the other two!

| I feel like there should be a light shining down on this or something. |
I am proud that Wes loves cleaning his guns. Really, I am. He takes pride in making them shine (I mean shine...hold those babies up to a light and they look like a mirror inside). Or maybe its because he doesn't want to get in trouble for them having a SPECK of lead on the inside.
Now if I could only get him to take pride in loading the dishes...
