These are a few of my favorite things....

Whenever I feel blue...I tend to hunker down, watch my favorite movies and eat obscene amounts of Whoppers.

Don't judge me.

Anyway...we all have favorite things. I know we've all been asked about our favorite foods, movies, books etc. We all have favorites. What an interesting concept if you really think about it. I mean, we have ONE thing that we REALLY enjoy within a subject (restaurant, store, color) and we proudly announce it to others. Which I assume is to attract other people with similar favorites....make new friends! I digress...

I have officially found a NEW favorite. It is obviously not blogging. But instead.....riding along with Wes during his shift.

It. Is. A. Mazing.

Seriously...I have so much fun. I don't even care if it is is for an hour or for five hours. I feel like I know a large area in Tulsa...but only in night colors..you know: black....blue...yellow lamp lights that have gotten shot out....neon...etc.

Don't worry...I had the perfect Police Officer Wife outfit picked out. Bam.

All joking aside, it is really amazing to see Wes in his element. He is a totally new person. It's like he has found exactly where he belongs.

I have rode along three or four times now and it is always fun. I am sure that he thinks I am bored, but even if I am watching him write a report or running code, it is sooo much fun!!

Luke in the bushes while Wes talks to the driver.
I got to see a lot of car stops (one in which I helped put another violation on the ticket...changing lanes in an intersection..bam...bad boys bad boys...whatcha gonna dooo...anyway), I've seen drunk people that Wes has had to tell to leave from properties, alarm calls, and even been to the detective division with one of those guys that scams people. Man....good times.

My favorite part of everything though is when people totally freak when they see the car or when they totally mess up in front of Wes and then act like total idiots and forget everything they did within the last 2 minutes.

For example, this guy:

We were just patrolin' down the street and say whaaaaa!??! Some guy turned and almost hit us. LIGHT EM UP. We whip around and start following this guy into (oh what do you know...) the first apartment complex he finds.. and into the first open parking spot. Wes blocks him from getting out and then the guy tries to get out!! Like he lives there!!! Psh. Anyway - he didn't have a drivers license etc. So of course he gave this dude a ticket.

Woo. Anyway - it is fun and everyone should do it. Seriously..download the form and ask Wes. It is like you're there...and you are. BAM.
